About fifty hectares of Tignale's land is dedicated to the cultivation of olives, with about 14.000 trees maintained by a hundred or so of its inhabitants , most of whom do so in their spare time outside their main occupation. Lately Tignale has its own Olive Mill in Gardola which presses olives grown organically . These are grown to meet certain requirements which seem to be greatly appreciated, not only by the careful consumer but also by the marke in general . The analysisi of the olive oil that has begun to be produced by the Tignale olive press , has judged it to be of excellent quality.
